The Sleeper Train PDF Print E-mail

Before arriving in the UK, I found out about a train that goes all the way from Scotland to London and back! Lots of people online said how great their experiences were on this train, so I had to find out more. The idea of sleeping through the night and being able to wake up and look out the window to see the countryside roll past was enticing.

This was what I was really looking forward to on this trip, an overnight ride in a sleeper train. It seems so Agatha Christie.

Travelodge was a good value, right in the centre of London in Covent Gardens.

NOTE: My camera data was wrong, and should read summer 2009!

Although it seems like the ride would be rough, it was actually very soothing.

The landscape rolled by and we got a knock on the door in the morning along with some tea and coffee.
